Great point, Rupert. It's funny because I read complaints about Ableton's warping engine on the forums from time to time, and yet there are those of us intentionally bending the system to its breaking point in order to get cool new sounds.

There is also alot of fun to be had using lives warp engine as a shaping tool rather then a bpm adjuster. Some times I will strech sounds to the max, bounce down then stretch them again. Playing with the diffrent settings and warp modes can produce some very intresting textures.
