Here's the third, and last, part of the "Clash of the Titans" sound design videos.  This time I cover the stinger sound at the end of the Medusa scene which was covered in part 2.  I go over some inspirations that I had from Ben Burtt's whip sounds from "Indiana Jones" as well as the [...]

Time for Part 2 of the "Clash of the Titans" videos.  This time the focus is on Medusa in all her reptilian glory.  I pay special attention to the sound she makes as she slithers along some stone ruins as well as fire and debris elements to fill out the atmosphere of the scene.  For [...]

The idea is based around feeding dynamic source audio into a high threshold gate to create clicks [...]

    Hey Nick,

I just recently bought all the series you have on this site right now after getting convinced by the quality of the free sample lessons you offer by subscribing to the mailing list. I have watched about 5 of the videos by now, and I just wanted to tell you I am very pleased with the detail and the explanations of your lessons. They really give the insight and boost for someone who has some experience in digital music production but now wants to get into it deeper, creating own sounds instead of starting from preset patches etc. I am really enjoying the videos and learning a lot. (made the switch from reason to ableton)
